ExamHub saves account data in the database on our hosting server.
Signed-in accounts
Practice answers, progress, unfinished tests, timers, completed results and preferences are stored in the account database. Changes need a working connection. If saving fails, keep the page open and reconnect or try again.
Guests
Practice progress, answers, history and preferences are not saved to an account or browser storage. A temporary session runs the active generated test and protects forms. Closing the browser ends its session cookie. Guest work is never imported when you sign in.
Cookies
- examlab: a browser-session cookie for authentication, form security and the active guest test. Server sessions expire after at most 30 days of inactivity.
- examlab_remember: a random sign-in token, kept for up to 60 days. Only its hash is stored in the database. Signing out revokes it.
- examlab_lang: language during the current browser session; account language is also saved in the database.
Browser storage
This release removes old ExamHub browser saves and does not create new local-storage saves.
